  are baptisms internal births or converts?.

  there were around 6,000,000 jehovah's witnesses in 1995, during which time the global average birth rate was 22.4/1000.

  the estimated number of witness children born is therefore 134,400. in 2011, when that group of children were around the age of baptism, there were 263,161 people baptised.

  I hate to say this, but both my parents and my sister and her husband, were all converts and baptized sometime between 2010 and 2012.

  I have not given up hope on them... but for now, they are statistics.

  Is there a search bar for jw.org??

  i registered as a user (under an alias of course) but can't find a search bar anywhere on the site......i'm not a tech-savvy person, but usually can find what i need.

  i will repost this question under the post "counteract jw.org august 2014 campaign" participating in that idea was what prompted me to open an account on the jw site in the 1st place.

  other than that the whole thing makes me want to puke..

  My Judicial Meeting was 6 WEEKS ago! Help me with a question.

  my judicial meeting was 6 weeks or more ago, and still no action.

  i used a lawyer and a letter to them after i had already met with them and admitted everything.

  the crazy part was they didn't tell me that night if i was df or not.

  Safe from DFing and my parents, siblings, and all other extended family shunning me.

  Based on my personal experience, your family is going to do what they want to do in this situation. Even if they are not instructed to DF you, their conscience could still cause them to stop associating with you.

  (Me: Never a JW, but my sister has declared she will "no longer communicate" with me. I didn't get a hearing).

  the killings, wallander, luther, dexter, braquo (french (english subbed) german (berlin berlin), sherlock, george gently, inspector frost, inspector lewis, did i say "dexter (though the ending was a bummer :( ) "orange is the new black", "house of cards", "mad men".. .

  We watched a sort of "slow burn" horor movie/pyschological thriller last night:

  "We Are What We Are"

  It is about a quiet family who lives in the woods, and once a year they fast for a few days, then kidnap and eat a person. It is tradition, and the father has some weird religious fantasies. The ending really did come as a shock.

  We watched the "Interviews" with the director, and he mentioned high-control or strange religions and groups, traditions that we just accept (like the odd things people do at Christmas, without knowing why...) Kinda stuck me as appropriate.
